This document is a starting template provided for convenience and is not legal advice. TCG Tracker should have it reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on it.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TCG Tracker ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the TCG Tracker website and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following information:
- Discord account information you authorize us to access when you sign in, such as your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and email address (we request the “identify” and “email” scopes);
- Profile information you provide, such as your username, deck of choice, and the games you follow;
- Activity data you submit or generate, including tournament results, match records, trophies, and community Space memberships;
- Technical data such as session cookies and basic log information needed to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and player profile;
- Display tournament results, leaderboards, statistics, and community Spaces;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- Communicate with you about your account or important changes to the Service.
4. Authentication and service providers
We use Discord for authentication. When you sign in, Discord shares the profile information described above in accordance with its own privacy policy. We use Supabase to provide authentication, database, and storage infrastructure. These providers process your data on our behalf so that we can run the Service.
5. Cookies and sessions
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to maintain the security and functionality of the Service. These are required for the Service to work and are not used for third-party advertising.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. Certain information you choose to make public — such as your username, profile, tournament results, and Space memberships — is visible to other users as part of the Service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Service and its users.
7. Data retention and deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time; some information may be retained where required for legal or legitimate operational reasons.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, you can reach the TCG Tracker team via our community Discord, or review our Terms of Use. (Replace this with an official contact email or link before launch.)
